The Industrial Pendant Lamp
I was tasked to design, model and render a pendant lamp. The following entry will guide you through my process.
I developed the lamp shade on Solidworks in the sheet metal feature. After starting with a simple loft between two pentagons I started adding Edge Flanges and Extruded Cuts to finally end up with a modern industrial pendant lamp.
I played around a lot with directional and spot lights to create a real light effect for the render.
Once I was done designing and modeling, it was time to render.
Above you can see the lamp shade in the dark and in the light.
I imagine the pendant lamp hanging in an open plan industrial space.
