INKTOBER 2019
This was all part of Inktober 2019! Inktober is an art-challenge that takes place annually during the month of October. Artists are asked to create a piece of work that fits a pre-made prompt list. It was an incredible experience to make work on these pieces of work every day for a month and creatively, it pushed me further than I've ever been pushed! Although the prompts could be taken in any direction, I wanted to give myself a few constraints:
     1. Only three shades of grayscale would be used; dark gray/black, 50% gray and white
     2. I would only use one brush called the Toothy Inker in Procreate (made by Max Ulichney)
     3. I would use a canvas background and a scanned watercolor/ink splash somewhere in each image to tie it all together
All-in-all, the takeaway from this project was that striving for perfection in every project is unrealistic and it damages productivity-- especially when you have a 24-hour deadline. Some days of Inktober I cringe to look at, while others I ended up really loving! There's a little piece of me in all of these. I hope you enjoy looking through these images as much as I enjoyed making them.
