THE WORKSHOP
The basic principle of the one week workshop was the so-called "intrinsic value" of a product, which lies not only in the value of its material but also in its function. Products whose use was evidently no longer valued should undergo a transformation. Our target object, a CD stand with a triangular base structure, has undergone a metamorphosis towards a compact grill. The elementary and striking edgy shape of the CD stand was taken up and used in various elements as a stiffener as well as a design component.
