Design Project 1 at NID Ahmedabad
About Tilonia Bazaar- Tilonia Bazaar is a small store with a wide range of products made by the artisans of Barefoot College itself. It comes under Hatheli Sansthan of Barefoot college,Tilonia village, Ajmer, Rajasthan. Barefoot provides materials for and trains rural artisans to produce clothing, accessories, furniture, textiles, educational toys, leather goods, metalwork and hand-made paper. They also assist in marketing support and credit accessibility, so crafts can be sold at retail shops and exhibitions in India, Europe and North America. This provides an opportunity for rural craftspeople to earn an income while sharing their cultural treasures in the global marketplace.
Project brief- To create a new range of products for Tilonia Bazaar to break the monotony. Designs should be unique, simple, creative and economical but still retain the essence of the richness of the crafts of Tilonia Bazaar.
-The product should be made with the leftover and waste fabric scraps from the tilonia bazaar design studio.
