This project was about creating a context timeline for my given designer, Peter Saville. The three categories for timeline events were (1) the designer's life and work, (2) historical or technological context, and (3) influencing art and people. Early on, I chose a soundwave theme after seeing Saville's "Unknown Pleasures" album design and realizing that his best-known work are his many album cover designs. I started the design by gradually creating the equalizer graphic and implementing the word "Saville" into it. I then added the typography and imagery for the events after that. There are nine panels in total, each of them 12 in. by 12 in. (the size of a LP). The overall dimension is therefore, 12 in. by 108 in.
