Aisa Hota Hai chronicles a day in the life of Rimpi Sharma, a resident of Bandal, a Brahmin village in the Tirthan Valley, Himachal Pradesh. The camera follows Rimpi from the distance of the exotic, moving into the intimacy of the mundane. The gaze that she is subjected to is returned. The filmmaker interacts with her performativity and contemplates the similarities and differences of their lived experience.
