Topic: NATURE ( Ocean )
The pictures of beaches shaped like a wave in the center were captured during different times of the day at different places. One picture of the wave is low tide, one is high tide. The other have sunsets and sunrise. These waves represents life. Sometimes we feel calm, but there are times we wanted to burst out our feelings. The sunset and sunrise represents the ending and beginning of things in life. An ending could be a beginning of new chances. I put turtle between the diagonal line and it shows that it is trap which conveys the illegal trading of marine life. It has also shows how I try to scape from being stuck on nothing and trying to get out on my comfort zone. The icebergs means people may know me but not my story. Iceberg has a small surface but has a deeper part. Just like in life, there are a lot of things we still don’t know. The triangle represents my emotions and connections to my personality. It has three sides made with different types of line— diagonal,scribbled, and zigzag. The diagonal line represents my optimistic side, the scribbled lines tells about my anxieties and the zigzag line shows about my mix emotions of happiness and nervousness The lines has also a connection with the ocean. The green background is the symbol color for nature and it also represents the color of harmony.
Ocean wave is my concept for the line. In the model, the lines have a soft flow like a calm wave in the ocean. It gives a soothing and calming vibe. Whenever I see ocean wave, it puts my mind at ease. But, these calm wave could turn into a dangerous monster. The wave is like the emotion of a person. Depending on the mood, sometimes we are calm, but there are times that we’re full of anger like a tsunami.
My concept for the circle is the bubbles coming out from a boiling water. Because of global warming, irregular heating of the atmosphere causes the rising of ocean temperature which affects marine life. These circles are also represents the bubbles coming out and popping when you do deeper underwater. Ocean is so deep and mysterious. A lot of things are still undiscovered under the vast ocean. Just like in life, we still got a lot of things to explore.
The structure of the triangle is based on a shark’s fin. Its about the illegal killing of marine life which results to extinction of species on the ocean. The structure consists of small triangles which appear like corals. Coral reefs are dying because of human’s greed and global warming. It is shaped like a sharp edge because it shows the emotion of anger and danger.
