Big Top Circus - ISTD

RECEIVED A PASS FROM INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF TYPOGRAPHIC DESIGNERS (ISTD)

BIG TOP, is a new museum showing the history and intrugue of the Circus. Showing all types past, present and maybe even the future of the Circus.
This has been done through a logo, that represents the feel of the circus. Different typefaces have been used each having different personalities like the personalities of the the acts and the Circus. The colours are very vibrant and bright, this represents the light and bright happy atmosphere of the circus. Throughout the branding there is continuous use of circles, this represents the use of lights in a circus like spotlight but also the rings in a big top.
A typeface has be created with each letter form having different personalities like the personalities of the the acts. The individual letters will be used, not only on the logo but also across the brand, like signage and event program. Some letters are originals and others existing fonts which have been carefully chosen to fit alongside
The museum is all about anticipation and excitement, so what better way to express this than a program box filled with goodies to get the audience excited about their upcoming trip to the circus museum. Inside the box will be the event program, a selection of postcards, stickers and badges. Along with tickets, and tokens for free popcorn once you get to the museum.
To continue the brands image, billboards and posters were designed. Flowing with the continueing theme of the typography, showing only flashes of the letter forms, without any true description of what it is all about.
The 3D typography will be used as a welcome sign, in the museum entrance and also on the exterior. It will be off during the day and at night the lights will be lite to show a welcoming exciting feel to the circus.
