Aibou is a bookstore cafe aimed at a customer base who regularly participates in fandom culture and wants to find themselves a community to spend time with on a more frequent basis than just fan conventions. These customers, do not have a physical place, aside from annual conventions where they can meet and celebrate their culture; Aibou provides that place for them. Designed to be a ‘go to’ place as well as a safe space for its customers, Aibou wishes to connect these fan bases on regular basis. The cafe will effectively reach its consumer base by relating its style to the aesthetics found inside of a manga or western comics. Designed for people who enjoy fandom culture aged 15-40, this chain of cafes will further connect to the local audience by relating itself to popular mangas in the area.
