Banalata
Many people were forcibly disappeared and killed in Bangladesh since its independence in 1971 for various reasons. According to media reports, sometimes such incident takes place for gaining someone’s political interest. Some incidents of disappearance were also found as ‘intentional’.This is a symbolic design to represent a disappeared or missing person. I picked the name, Banalata, from a Bengali poem written by poet Jibanananda Das. Although the poem does not focus on disappearance issue, I picked the name as it is familiar to us from our childhood.
Mukti
Mukti Basically, this is a mnemonic design, prepared to remember the valiant freedom fighters, Muktijoddha, who sacrificed their lives for making us independent. We feel very proud of their supreme sacrifice for our motherland, Bangladesh, and we salute them. But, at this moment we are not following the ethics of our freedom fighters. The country is totally full of corruption from top to bottom level. It can be considered as the lack of respect towards their supreme sacrifice.That is why I prepared this design using the name Mukti from the Bengali meaning of freedom fighter, Muktijoddha, to regain their ethics in our life.
Chhoto Chacha
Chhoto Chacha is a famous character of a drama serial, Aj Robi Bar, aired on Bangladesh Television (BTV). Famous Bangladesh writer and director Humayun Ahmed directed this most popular drama series in our country.This character is mostly funny in this serial and I prepared the design to make an idea for a graphics agency or farm.
Chowdhury Casino
I have prepared the design from a recent issue, discovery of illegal casinos in Dhaka which have been running for many years. Leaders of Jubo League, the youth-wing of ruling Awami League, are running these illegal casinos through misusing their power.
However, authorities in the city claimed they do not know anything about running illegal casino.
So I think running Jubo League chairman Omar Faruk Chowdhury is the answerable person as his partymen are involved in this issue. He can't say that he does not know anything about these illegal activities.
But our Honorable Prime Minister took action against all corrupted sectors in the country. Many many thanks to our honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
