Witch’s room 1：Career

For career,even if women want to have an equal status with men in the career, they sometimes encounter a glass ceiling. Women would be asked their life schedule, be required to pleasure their customer or colleague. It seems that it is not important about their professional ability. They would be blamed as hysteria women if they do same behavior like men. Sometimes their bosses require women’s performance and beauty to appeal clients. Men feel threat and relative deprivation because women have knowledge, but in the past, they are treated as evil witches.    

1+2. She has a master's degree in physics from her dream university. And works hard in her career, with excellent ability.

3.But her boss does not want female workers to be marriage or plan pregnancy, which would make trouble for the company. Those bosses ask her how to balance the family life and the workplace as a criterion for assessing whether to hire her.

4+5. Why are they often given special expectations of women that are incompatible with their professional ability, such as requiring women to welcome guests and request changes in clothing to cater to customers?

Many workplaces will regulate women's makeup and clothing as a ritual to please male employees and please customers. And those men said: it is for the company, it is regular rules.

6.She usually suffers from annoying questions or situations. Even if she is a professional technician, as a woman, she is expected to have the function of entertaining people. She also has to ignore some embarrassing jokes, if she feels uncomfortable, and they laugh at her if she is too sensitive.

7.She has to spend more time and work harder than men. When she works, everyone stares at her eagerly, and waiting to see "what a woman would do." She can not make mistakes, not even a little bit.

8+9. As soon as she shows negative emotions, some people blame her, "women are emotional, can not become a successful business". She is usually over-examined in the workplace, and all her attitude will be attributed to her as a female.

10. Even if she has the same ability as men, when she is forced to use her female identity to achieve certain business benefits, it feels very bad. Even if she hates these rules, she has no choices to follow the boss's command.
