Howard Perch, 50, of Ormond Beach, is the recipient of several awards during his lifetime. Perch proudly played as a scholarship athlete and letterman during his time on the University of North Carolina-Wilmington Men’s baseball team between 1987 and 1989. In 1990, Perch was named on the list of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges as a student at United States Sports Academy.

And in 2014, Perch won the State of Florida Governors Sterling Award: Greatest Organizational Impact.”
