DESIGN PROJECT FOR RED FROGS  AUSTRALIA (By Jeffery Ma)
During a period of 48 hours, we were tasked with designing a purposeful and effective solution for Red Frogs Australia in their vision to provide an impactful support network for young people.
A range of Red Frog statues are designed to be decorated by year 7 students, which would then be distributed to particular points of interest within Brisbane. This will allow people to go and visit each frog and be able to vote their favourite design through a QR code leading to the Red Frogs Australia website. This design would benefit Red Frogs, by increasing their brand, vision and goal awareness. Resulting in major exposure to sponsorship opportunities, education, because students would be educated about alcohol and drugs awareness at a younger age.
Design Process
All photos and work presented are contributions made by each individual group member of The Green Team.
Our team's first task was to reflect on the brief provided and form possible solutions through the use of a provided structure. Namely Inspiration, Ideation, Visual Communication and Pitching.
A diagram and research based off our group's responses to the brief. Utilising the strategies of systematic thinking and empathy mapping
During the ideation phase, the group conceptualised various ideas, ranging from statues, merchandise, fundraising events and engaging collectibles.
Amongst the plethora of ideas presented, the team agreed to expand on the concept of the statue. Therefore, experimenting the dimensions and context of its implementation as a solution to the brief.
The exploration of this particular concept was also represented in a range of mediums. For example, hand graphics and digital representations, followed by a physical model of our design proposal.
Here is a summary of the design concept and implementation presented in the form of a one-pager
