Institute History Page.

The page presents the history of the institute and the building in which it is located.

The building is a monument of constructivism built by architect Meshkov in 1929. Originally built as a kitchen factory, it was rebuilt as a research institute 20 years later.

We have tried to collect the stories of outstanding people who worked in the building and who influenced the creation of the IAM RAS.

We found the building's reconstruction plans and a few hundred photos. Photos will be presented at the exhibition at the anniversary conference.
