Omochi is a language club held in University of Tsukuba. Every friday night exchange students and japanese students would get together and talk for an hour in Japanese, then another hour in English. It was a way for Japanese students to practice their English skills, as well as for us foreign students to practice our Japanese. These posters were made to be fixated in notice boards throughout the University. I made them keeping in mind the fact that they should be printed in cheap A4 paper, and should hold simple, straight-forward information in both English and Japanese. The illustration refers to a japanese sticky rice cake – omochi – simbol of union.
