Drury University Icons
Introduction: This is a project I completed for Drury University. These icons are intended for print and web uses.
Brief/Objective: Drury needed 10 different icons, and each one needed symbolize knowledge, learning, or steps towards a goal. The color palette was optional, but I chose to stick with the Drury University brand colors, as they would be used for university purposes.
Process: I started by writing a list of words that fit the brief. Then, I sketched a depiction of each word. Next, I started building out different versions of the depictions in Adobe Illustrator. Once I had four solid drafts of each icon, I sent them to the client for approval. Drury chose the first set of icons you see below. Once they chose the set, I saved out each icon in a web and a print-friendly file and sent the final files to the client. For portfolio purposes, I included my favorite set of icons, below the circular version.
