Those woodcuts were made as part of a project by Demián Flores and the
Embassy of Mexico in Warsaw.
Since the machete plays a large role in the culture of Mexico, the job of me and other artists was to convey the dualism of the symbolism of this weapon.
I also used the motif of feathers, as they are endowed by Mexicans with strong meaning.
In September 2019, the woodcuts will be presented at the exhibition of Demián Flores in the The State Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw.
