Mosaïka
Inspired from the game Connect4©, Mosaïka invites spectators to create their own luminous paintings using multiple colored and textured pieces, such as pixels.

Mapping Moodboard
Colorful universe inspired straight from the game Connect4© (layout, creation of the universe by the spectator).
Since the spectators do not know necessarily the possible interactions with light, we would like them to discover by themselves through games of colors and materials.
Plans
Cutting of two plexiglas sheets (one opaque and one transparent) connected to each other by featherboard glued with double-sided tape.
Initially the model was built on a real scale, the interactive aspect with the spectator was interesting because he could choose to remove or put the squares of his choice. After some thought, we decided to imagine this model in a much larger size where only the manufacturer chooses at the time of projection to put the squares he wants.
We have chosen to dig simple, geometric and random shapes in pencil board. In these empty shapes we have inserted different textures and colors (such as bubble wrap, gelatin, fabric, interlayer, plastic sheet, iridescent paper, striated plexiglas, transparent plexiglas) allowing light to pass through. We have decided to name our squares "Pixels".
Graphism Moodboard
For the projection visuals, we have chosen to inspire geometric shapes, mainly tiles of cement and mosaic. It explains the title of our project : Mosaïka.
We wanted to highlight simple animations that interacted with our structure and the pixels that make it up. Our animations are between 1 and 5 seconds long, the aim being to see as many videos as possible. Normally, we wanted to add captors, which means that each time a viewer put a "pixel" in the structure, an animation appears randomly, but unfortunately, this workshop lasted one week, and we did not have the time...
We have chosen to use only black and white (and shades of grey to play on transparency) to contrast with our color pixels. The geometric shapes used are reminiscent of those of our Pixels.
Similarly, we have taken the decision to not use music but only sound effects from musical instruments in order to remind us of the experimental and playful side of our project.
