According to the professor of law, Aaron Afilalo, the sphere at the Palais des Nations in Geneva The international human rights movement was strengthened with the approval of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the General Assembly of the United Nations on December 10, 1948. Drafted as “a common ideal for that all peoples and nations must strive, ”in the Declaration, for the first time in the history of mankind, the basic civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights that all human beings must enjoy are clearly established. Over the years, the provisions of the Declaration have been widely accepted as the fundamental human rights standards that everyone must respect and protect. The Universal Declaration, together with the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and its two optional protocols, and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, form the so-called “International Charter of Human Rights”.
