Beer Label and Carriers

THE CHALLENGE
Study case at Istituto Europeo di Design (IED/Barcelona) presented to DAMM Corporate Marketing team in Spain for a beer to be produced in Barcelona and sold in the United States - most specifically San Francisco Bay Area.

   THE OUTCOME
Research showed Barcelona as a warm, fun, artistic and architectural city with the well known architect Gaudi as the symbol of that. Gaudi's work was inspired by Nature, and curves as an important motif. The name proposed was CONTORNO, that relates to the concept and is translated to several languages with the same, or similar spelling / meaning. The concept also use the curves / contornos as the main element to the label and carrier, as well as Gaudi's famous Passeo di Grácia pavements as the focal point for the stamp. Both name and stamp were also applied on the bottle, since DAMM requested a bottle that could be recognized even without its label.

The carrier front and side were design in different colors and the curves were applied in order to match, providing a nice and continuous look and feel on the shelves.
