Architectural Models
These are examples of just a couple of the projects I have worked on so far in my professional career.
As many of the models I have worked on are entered in ongoing competitions and
therefore confidential I am limited in what I can post here.
The process of creating these models begins with communication between the team in the workshop to decide who will be working on the project and how we want to divide the tasks, you then have to adapt the original 3d file to be suitable for the components of the model. The parts are mostly cut on a zund knife cutter but we also use a lasercutter, cnc machine and hot wire cutter as neccessary. Colour is heavily considered and often achieved through suitable grades of coloured paper but we also often achieve this through paint. The model must then be assembled in a correct and efficient order and finishing touches most often include scaled people and trees.
