Light stix is an idea for a customizable lighting system in its conceptual stage. It is a fusion between the steel-industrial-wireframe aesthetic and the magnetic conductor technology. It has the ability to have more than one source of light, flexibility for different room configurations and for different moods, it is can be also hand held night-light ability. It is made of metallic ( square section) stix of different lengths, colors and finishes / removable + rechargeable hand-held light stix with battery inside.
The light stix, sticks to the metallic stix via magnet. The metallic stix fix together via screwing motion, at different points. Electricity is conducted to the metallic stix via magnetic conductor technology. The fixture can be ceiling, wall, table or floor mounted.
Lack of lighting layers ( ambient, task, accent ), few sources of light, dull aesthetic appearance, fixed and inflexible. These were the problems that we were facing in everyday life. So we did our market research and found out that different technologies and approaches helped us create a new lighting system that is both a functional and aesthetically pleasing new way of lighting the bedroom.
