The aim for this design was to create a building that gave a calm and relaxed feeling to anyone who came into it by using open space, nature and light. I initially played around with light modelling by building transparent walls in Sketchup and Indigo to render the images to figure out how this idea may work.
I created some concepts both on paper and then on Sketchup, and I chose to go with this concept of a tall, round building with the ability to capture sunlight, and many window openings to let light in. I then played around with the idea of using coloured glass to create an atmosphere in the building with coloured light streaming in, creating a somewhat surreal environment.
