In Romanian tradition, the first nine days of March are called "The Hags" and are associated with the arrival of spring, but also with the legend of Dokia the Hag, who was wearing 9 (actually 12) lambskins and undressed them one by one each day while herding her goats/sheep over the mountains, just to be stone-frozen by the capricious weather after she dropped all her layers. Women are choosing their day or "hag" to find out if the weather in that day would give a hint about their character.
Long story short, I did a set of illustrations for the ING Bank Romania Instagram account to celebrate these 9 days of Spring arrival.
