TIME LAPSE
Time-lapse is a video recording mode which uses a low frame rate, usually around 1 or 2 fps. It also depends on the length of the recording. When played back, a time-lapse video is almost the opposite of slow motion. The audio from the video is usually replaced with a soundtrack for a cinematic feel, following a storyline and focusing on the evolving subject matter. This sense of warped time appears to keep viewers engaged and in awe.

Reflection
In this week's activity, we explored time-lapse. I noticed many cinematic time-lapse videos from cuts in channels such as Nat Geographic or Channel News Asia. Although I have seen the end-product, I never really knew how time lapse works, until today. We adjusted the camera settings to make it suitable for the time lapse video, then set up the tripod with the camera mounted in the direction we wanted to capture our video. The waiting was the hard part, although it may seem like you have nothing to do, you actually have to ensure that the camera is untouched or the timelapse video may shift out of focus and ruin the entire thing. Learning about time lapse was really fun as if done right, it can appear cinematic. I feel that this can be applicable in our campaign film, to engage the viewers and tell a story.
