The project is shaped by a purely functional approach to design - with little or no redundant details. Even the pattern on the metal part is part of the milling process.
Description:
The metal plate is milled from aluminium block and held in place by 2 ball bearings. The bulk of the plate allows it to distribute heat more evenly without hotspots. It's anodized to create a protective non-stick surface. Gaps at the side allows clearance for the flame and ease lifting of the plate.
The wooden base insulates heat from table surface and gaps at the side allows easy handling.
Heat level is regulated by the number of tealights used.
