RACINES (3RD One-Man Show)

In August 2015, my painting "LUSH" was chosen by Festival International du Film Insulaire (FIFIG) to be the banner artwork of their 15th annual film festival which featured the Philippine Islands. They also invited me to Ile de Groix, Brittany, France for an artist residency. My wife and I, stayed in the island for more than 2 months. It is in France where I first saw and acquired a palette knife with grooves/teeth. I discovered I can achieve various textures depending on how the grooves in the knives vary. My residency culminated with a solo exhibition entitled "RACINES" (French for Roots), which also featured my works that I have brought from my home country.
