The objective of my work was to illustrate the tale 'The Black Cat' by American writer Edgar Allan Poe. The Black Cat is a fantastic example of emotion and terror being conveyed through a story. While reading it I let my imagination be fully immersed in the story this lead me to giving wings to my illustrations. The tale conveys many different feelings to the reader, terror and fascination, but also makes your mind fantasise about the different possibilities. The transformation of the human soul, though a series of unconnected events, adds to this fantasy part of the story.
