"Memento Mori" is a Latin phrase meaning "Remember that you are mortal." In this project, I helped a professor from the Department of Arts & Design of PUC-Rio for the development of the concept. During the process, a piece of coal was removed from the remains of the National Museum. The idea was to make an impact that everything is fleeting and the preservation of our history by moving from wood to coal with the phrase "memento mori" milled.
