Apologue Absinthe

After deciding to focus on the city of Salisbury (derived from my 'pornstar name' which is your first pet and the name of the first road you lived on), I found from my research that there is a legend that an archer shot an arrow from Old Sarum that hit a white stag which continued to run until it died in the spot where Salisbury Cathedral now lies. From this I decided to create an absinthe brand it is often associated with mystical beings and tales.

Apologue Absinthe is a collection of three absinthes, each linked to a legend from a place in the UK. The name Apologue comes from it’s meaning of a moral fable which links well with myths and legends and has a nice ring to it.

Absinthe was originally used as a medicine so I wanted to link this to my brand by basing the bottle shape off of a traditional medicine bottle. I created my bottle shape using the 3D shape generator in Photoshop CC, then took the object into Dimension CC to render it with the body being glass and the lid being metal.

I lino cut and printed the chosen designs in order to give them the texture and handmade feel that I envisioned for the brand.
