"Intervention I: Bypassing Erosion"

This was my first site chosen. This is how it looked prior to the intervention.
The material was hiked out of the forrest, cone 04 fired, and returned.
The result of fired rocks is now they are stronger and better able to withstand the forces applied to them by nature and causing erosion. The process has been slowed, thus these selected rocks will have a longer life than otherwise would have.
It is my hope that once subjected to a rising water level by flash flooding the rocks naturally removed from this intervention will assimilate to the rest of the existing material in the stream without difficulty.
During the firing process some rocks close to the burners get a bit hotter and fuse.
