Assignment: Make a work that rhymes with Joseph Beuys' "I Like America and America Likes me" (1974)
"I Hate America and America Hates Me" video records real-life experiences and anecdotes of my Asian friends. Like Joseph Beuys' "I Like America and America Likes me" (1974) that represents the debasement of culture brought by Americans, this video captures that essence by showcasing stereotypical questions and first-hand experiences that my friends and myself face in this country.
