HIDDEN GEM: CENTENNIAL OLYMPIC PARK’S GOLD MEDAL GARDEN

The Gold Medal Garden is a quiet, hidden gem tucked away in Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park. The magic of the plants draws visitors in, inviting them to sit on one of the garden’s benches and explore the world of flora.  Some seek out the plant markers identifying the different species, while others contemplate what might thrive in their own home gardens.

This collection of photographs features beautiful blooms and showcases species that thrive in the Georgia climate, including Knockout Roses, Lenten Roses, Pansies, Hydrangea and Euphorbia cluster. The photos have been used in a variety of print and digital collateral for the Park. Images shared on the Park’s social media (Instagram, Twitter and Facebook) have been liked, loved and shared by fans around the world and contribute to its reputation as an urban oasis in the heart of downtown Atlanta.

The photographs were taken with a Canon DSLR camera, prime macro lenses and edited using Adobe Lightroom to make the vibrant colors pop, enhance focus and display the beauty of the urban oasis.
