Philly Water Bar

Philadelphia has top quality tap water. The Philly Water Bar is an experience designed to educate communities in neighborhoods across Philadelphia to choose tap water over bottled water.

By serving samples in a fun, conversational space, the Philly Water Bar aims to increase drinking water literacy and build trust between the public and city government.

Philly Water Bar is also an opportunity to share materials from the Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) that educate the public on drinking water quality.

The launch of the Philly Water Bar was held in the courtyard of Philadelphia's City Hall in April 2019. More than 200 people joined in on the fun!

Guest "bar tenders" (including high school students, community members, and City of Philadelphia officials) wear custom screen-printed aprons and engage with the public - serving them free pours of Philly's own tap "wooder."
