A pen holder doubles as the specimen for the Monark type family of YXType. Inspired by the ancient Roman Colosseum, the holder takes a spiral form incorporating letters with layers of machicolations as a museum to permanently seal the letterforms. Thanks to the Alumide material, a combination of aluminum and plastic powder, the holder aims to express the crude, solid, and monumental quality of Monark.
