01. Intro
Interactive project the redesign of a bathroom scale using the method of User-Centered Design and Service Design.
Project limitation: stand-alone device does not interact with other devices (no Internet connection and can not connect to a smartphone or other object).
The final concept of the project:
- the simplified design of the scales,
- a large display with backlight and large numbers and symbols,
- a streamlined control unit of the scales using three buttons, which can be pressed with your toes.

Methods: Competitor Analysis, Social Sentiment Analysis, Personas, Scenarios, Focus Group, Affinity Diagramming, Morphological Analysis, Collaborative Workshop, Card Sorting, Cognitive Walkthrough and Usability Test.

We had to do our user research to base our innovation on, utilising different types of research methods to lay down a framework of expectations and user needs. We developed our persona and scenarios based on this research.
