During the sophomore design class, I experimented different ways of material manipulation to create structures that serve as protective shells to the body. I tried to incorporate different geometries to make the body look larger and stronger.
The structure was made out of plexiglass, which was first laser cut into individual stripes. They were then connected by wire.
The structure is flexible and can be transformed into different shapes that allow for different ways of attachment.
For this transparent armor, I first made some cardboard structures, which were then vacuum formed using clear PETG. The should panels and bodice were attached by strings.
