Sango, “coral” in Japanese, is a laser-cut organic-inspired paper fan.

    This accessory was imagined as a reinterpretation of the structure of the Gorgonian corals and of the round shaped traditional Chinese Tuanshan fans.

    A very rigid paper sheet is engraved with more or less power to give the appearance of an embroidery, the delicacy of lace and the transparency of silk velvet. Sango presents a hide and seek game specific to this seductive object that is the fan.
    It is inspired by its ornamental history, especially traditional Chinese patterns. The coral becomes embroidery and the paper becomes textile.
    The central pattern, the thickest part of the object, involves an ornamental but also structural writing.

    Its range of colors is vermilion red, coral pink, burgundy, turquoise blue or matt black and recalls the theme of coral and underwater world.
