I painted these amaryllis flowers at the beginning of this year for the botanical art exhibition at Filoli Gardens in California. It was a great opportunity for me to have been accepted into this art show. Painting process was quite challenging. I'm not sure what I liked to paint more - gorgeous red flowers or rough, scarred bulbs.
