Spiral Composite 1

I wanted to do something a bit different with composite images, and I had in mind these two images, one of a North Cornwall beach with a guy and his dog walking towards camera, and another of the most beautiful autumn woodland I've ever seen, and I had this idea of blending the two through a spiral in an almost narrative way, a kind of quirky thing you could only really get away with on a book jacket cover.  Given the book idea, I felt the engraving effect on the monochrome beach shot contrasted really well and aided the viewer in interpreting the two distinct images - the contrast both in colour and style helping to determine the image, yet the shapes created by light and dark areas of the images both seem to complement each other.
