Stardust is a fantasy adventure about Tristan who is a young man  who vows to find a fallen star in order to win the heart of the woman he fancies. In order to find fallen star and bring it back he must go beyond the wall of his village and enter the mystical world of fairies and magic.
The poster has both orange and blue colours with the protagonists in organge so our eyes our drawn straight to them, the blue allows us to focus on the other characters later. Even though the two main characters are in the centre their images are smaller than the more renowned actors (Robert De Niro, and Claire Danes). Nothing in the poster gives away too many clues to what the movie is actually about and without the sub title you wouldn't even know it was a fairy tale. However the title does show a shooting star going across the writing.
The Goonies is a coming of age adventure about a group kids/teens trying to save their homes from property developers who are planning on turning their homes into a country club. finding an old pirates map in their attick they set out to find the treasure, following the maps directions into an underground cavern. whilst looking for the treasure they encounter many dangerous obstacles such as various "boogie traps".
The composition of the poster is built up of the group of kids standing behind the skull of a pirate which is most likely the remains of the pirate "one eyed willie", whilst you have one of the villains behind them with a gun. Looking at the poster and thinking about the movie I realise that each character is depicting a scene from the movie but have been collared together to create one image. The poster has a lot of yellow and organge which is draws peoples attention more. The  poster was illustrated by Drew Struzan who illustrated other movie poster such as Indiana Jones, the Star Wars series and back to the future.
