We collaborated with textile artist, Maggie Thomspon, for this project. We were interested in exploring the process involved with creating a natural habitat, starting from a plan on paper and ending with a finished physical form. My partner and I wanted to limit use of organic material to that found on the site itself and experiment with construction techniques using these natural materials. Together we combined our knowledge of architecture and textiles to come up with innovative ways of design, combining elements of weaving and construction methods to create stability for our structure
