April 23,1969 I got on a plane and departed Vietnam after a tour of duty that lasted 12 months and 20 days! I completed this painting to mark the 50th Anniversary of my leaving Vietnam. I brought home with me many things but one of the most important is gratitude. This time of year I am particularly reflective and introspective. It is a time when I am keenly aware of all that I have to be grateful for and that I am so very fortunate!
