The Brief
This was an exciting new commission for the May 2019 issue of BBC Sky at Night magazine. The author of the article made a new friend with whom he was very excited to share his passion for astronomy with. Turns out this new friend was actually interested in astrology. Basically the whole piece revolves around the difference in views around the stars.

The Answer
So the theme I distilled was same source material, very different view. With that in mind, the brief wanted the composition have an obvious division. One full of signs of the zodiac and tarot cards and dreamcatchers and things representing astrology, the other full of science instruments, space telescopes, molecules, astronauts, rockets and things representing astronomy/space.
