This image is the story of my cancer diagnosis and what proceeded after. I had a 3.5cm tumor in my left breast and yes, it was cancerous and an aggressive one at that - and my whole life turned absolutely topsy turvy after the discovery.

So many blood tests, and my terrifying 4 red chemos out of my total 12 chemotherapy sessions had already started. My left side was bruising and showing signs of wear and tear, every blood test was a test of nerves and the entire clinic staff's patience-  as needles and I do not good friends make.

Such were my nerves that I promptly lost my first batch of 10 prints in the forest, then ended up lost in the absolute dark looking for it. Needless to say, the forest is totally different at night, a completely unchartered territory full of magic. The paths were pitch black dark with thousands of fireflies surrounding you, nocturnal beasts and creatures scurrying past and owls swooshing by. Scary and beautiful, just like my cancer journey.
