SADNESS IN BLUE

It is common for society and cultures to relate colors to different moods and feelings. We, as humans, tend to assign symbolic meanings to even the smallest things in our life. In this instance, we have all heard it: "I'm feeling blue." It alludes to sadness, unhappiness or even depresion. On these series of photographs I aim to play with objects and what they mean to us. Adding to it the connotation of blue. The purpose is to show how, when feeling blue, the color (the state of feeling) can paint everyday objects and our perception of them. Depression and sadness are characterized by infiltrating all aspects of daily life, slowly but surely; what we do, listen, eat and how we engage with the world changes.
