This lamp is inspired by a part of Korean Culture: Jang-Seung. Jang-Seung is a traditional totem pole which was placed in front of villages to keep evil away. Now they are a part of the Korean culture that is slowly being forgotten because they can rarely be seen around, except at some tourist sites and old villages.
Each of the four faces of the lamp are different from each other and are connected with legs. The light diffuser on the top has the old Korean characters on it which can be rarely seen around any more. To add to the antiqueness of the theme, the lamp is painted lightly with acrylic. Lastly, the lightbulb is supported by the hole on the bottom layer.
