SAVE VIETNAM'S WILDLIFE PANGOLIN RESCUE PROGRAM
(FEEDING TIME)

Pangolins are the worlds most trafficked mammal. Save Vietnam's Wildlife, based in Cuc Phuong National Park is on the ground working tirelessly to save this amazing species. In 2017 SVW rescued 407 pangolins as well as several other at risk species. Here are some shot's of a typical evening at SVW's rescue center, feeding their resident pangolins.
Pangolin scales, although made solely of keratin like your fingernails, are considered quite valuable on the Traditional Chinese Medicine market. This has lead to  severe poaching across Africa and Asia and it is estimated that over 100,000 pangolins are taken from the wild each year.
What does it takes to feed pangolins? Kilos and kilos of ant eggs.
