Welcome to my Redesign Menu for Corvette Diner!

For the front cover I wanted the type to have a font with a more readable line weight of the letters. Giving it a vibrance and simplicity, but having the 50's feeling still integrated. As this place main customers are family & kids. My inspiration came from the neon signage and decor, diners had back then, I feel it calls more the audience attention in going to the diner.
The original menu design had images of celebrities during the 50's which took more space of the pages than the food information. As well, as the decorative design throughout the menu. The type placement in the original gets confusing at times, with the type of font they used. For when it came to redesigning, I wanted to make it spacious, more visible and having less imagery but still having fun with the fonts.
As my main focus was the type, I did not include imagery on the rest of the menu but integrated a pop of color and detailing to still give the feeling of the diner's theme. The black color on the fonts and white background to keep the menu in order.
The back cover still with the same idea as the front cover to harmonize together, and give a bubbly sense. To create a contrast, for the background I placed a brick wall image which I made much darker to bring out the type.
