From the study of the very plausible azards within the city structures along the coast of the Philippines, the project focused on understanding how a new neighborhood could be built. It is precisely the Philippines, in particular the city of Sorsogon, medium-large city in the south of the state. Like the others, even here, the risk of floods and storms creates the need to imagine the new “safe” spaces.

The project focuses on urban, architectural, social coverage of the city: new urban layout, new housing solution, new solutions for “organized space”. The central pivot is certainly the basic home, which can be implemented directly by the residents, and which can create new sales, typical of this culture. The “empty” space becomes the space of possibilities, in a reasoning that also looks at the necessary transformations of the future. General urban planning is attentive to the services already present, such as the management of the electricity grid and waste, leaving room for future implementations, at the level of sewers, means of transport and public facilities. The houses that exploit the floating system, connected to a wastewater runoff system with channels perpendicular to the slopes of the ground, ensure the livability of the plant. The present city is connected, becoming a source of the necessary raw materials.
